The Ruby Of Seraphine by P•O•P Polish – Review

Hey lovelies! How are y’all? Good, I hope! Today, I have a P•O•P Polish review for y’all. P•O•P Polish is a vegan and cruelty-free indie nail polish maker. This is my first purchase from this indie, but I did win one of their polishes in a giveaway a couple of years ago and really liked it. I’ve always admire their holos, so I was really excited about this purchase! Also, the customer service is awesome; Bianca sent me a message after I made by order to welcome me to the P•O•P family, as well as to give me details about shipping and tracking. The shipping was quick, too!

Today’s swatch photos are a little different from the usual because I have an accent nail, so technically it isn’t a full hand swatch, but you’ll still get to see how the polish looks. I’ll also explain how I created my accent nail in another post, so keep an eye out for that. Let’s get right into the swatch and review!

*The following swatches are applied over Foundation Base Coat by Ah ha! Nail Lacquer and topped with Purrfect Shine by Sassy Cats Lacquer (Discount sample).

*My rating is a 5 point scale based on whether a nail polish has a good formula (2 points), is opaque in 3 coats (1 point), is opaque in 2 coats (1 point), and is pretty in my opinion (1 point).

24k Rose by Glittertastrophe – Review + Mani

Hey lovelies! How are y’all? I hope you are all doing great. I know it must be weird seeing a blog post from me during the weekdays instead of the weekend, but I’m going out of town this weekend, so I needed to get this post out now in order to not skip a week.

Today’s post is about a glitter mix from Glitterastrophe. Glittertastrope makes unique & custom glitter mixes for nail art/slime/crafts. Glittertastrophe also makes handmade jewelry with their mixes. They were kind enough to send glitter mixes for March birthdays, and I received mine a little over 2 weeks ago. I received 3 different mixes, and today I will be reviewing one of them. Let’s get right into it!

Other products used for this mani:

24k Rose

Description: An ultra fine rose gold mixed with a ultra fine holographic gold.

How to use: This glitter mix can be used in nail art, acrylics, gel, slime, jewelry and other crafts, and it is solvent resistant (can be poured into nail lacquer). I used the following steps for my mani:

  1. Apply base coat, base color, top coat, and let dry for 30 mins.
  2. Apply 2 strips of striping tape to each nail to make a border.
  3. Apply top coat to the area between the 2 strips of striping tape.
  4. Use an eyeshadow applicator to place glitter on the wet top coat. Let dry.
  5. Dust off any glitter that got outside of the border with a fan brush.
  6. Remove the striping tape.
  7. Apply top coat and let dry.
  8. That’s it!

Availability: Available now.

Price: $2.00 (1/8tsp/just a pinch), $3.50 (tsp), $4.50 (3/8 tsp/mini jar), or $7.00 (tbsp) USD.

Overall thoughts: It’s easy to use, beautiful, and holo…. so I love it! No complaints.

Zyler the Cat by Starrily + Simply Naillogical – Review

Happy Sunday y’all! Today, I am reviewing a polish that I’ve had since October 2016, but this is just my 2nd time using it. Yes, I am the type of nail polish addict who uses a nail polish once and doesn’t wear it again for over a year because I love trying new, different nail polishes LOL. Since I bought this polish before my blog, I decided I should do a review of it now!

If y’all didn’t already know, Simply Naillogical is the person who inspired me to get into nail art. I still watch all of her videos, and love when her cats make special appearances in them😸. In 2016, Cristine created Zyler the Cat with Starrily, and I ordered it right away. So today’s review will be about that polish! Let’s get started!

*The following swatches are applied over ÜNT Ready for Takeoff and topped with Glisten & Glow Top Coat.

*My rating is a 5 point scale based on whether a nail polish has a good formula (2 points), is opaque in 3 coats (1 point), is opaque in 2 coats (1 point), and is pretty in my opinion (1 point).

Zyler the Cat

Description: A copper tinted base with holographic microglitters.

Application: Smooth formula, not streaky, easy to use brush.

Opacity: 3 coats (1 regular coat + 2 sponging coats).

Availability: Currently in stock.

Price: $15.00 USD

Overall thoughts: This is a beautiful polish. I loved it when I first used it a little over a year ago, and I still love it now. The color is gorgeoeus, and the holo is so prominent.😍

My rating: 4/5

Pisces – Zodiac Sign Polish by Nailed it! Hawaii – Review

Hey lovelies! How are y’all? Hope you’re doing great! My last semester is going really well, so I’m happy, plus it’s time for a review! A couple of weeks ago, I placed an order with Nailed it! Hawaii for the Pisces zodiac polish, 4 sugar scrubs, and lotion. I’ve been using the sugar scrubs and lotion since I received them, and I love them as usual. The only difference is I had never tried the scents Blackberry Blossom and Dreamsicle in the sugar scrubs or the Cotton Candy scent lotion, but I freakin’ loooooove those scents now. Anywho, this is not a skin care products review, so let’s get back on track! LOL.

Nailed it! Hawaii is a 5-free, vegan, & cruelty-free indie brand that makes nail polish, artisan soaps, liquid latex, sugar scrubs, etc. This year, Tia started making zodiac and gemstone polishes for each month! In January, a Garnet gemstone polish was released, as well as one for the zodiac sign Aquarius (review for both here). Another awesome thing is that for the month of a certain zodiac sign/gemstone, the polish is only $6! After that particular month, it returns to it’s normal price. So let’s get right into swatching and reviewing my zodiac sign, Pisces!

Pisces

Description: A greenish-blue polish that just screams ocean vibes with a gold shimmer and holographic glitters.

Application: Smooth formula, not streaky, easy to use brush.

Opacity: 2 coats.

Availability: Available now.
Price: $6.00 USD for the month of February. After February, it will be $8.50 USD.

Overall thoughts: The color is beautiful, and I think it’s true to the Pisces sign. I have no complaints and definitely recommend this polish to my fellow Pisceans (or non-Pisceans!).

My rating: 5/5

That’s all for today loves! Be sure to check out Nailed it! Hawaii’s store, Instagram, and Facebook group. I can’t wait to see the March gemstone because my birthday is in March!

“In Loving Memory of Prince” by Baby Girl Lacquer – Review

*Discount Sample*

Hey lovelies! Did you miss me last week? If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was just really busy with the start of the semester and decided to skip doing my nails that week. I wore the last mani I posted for 11 days and then just went bare until now, so I am definitely ready to paint some pretties!

Today, I have swatches and reviews for y’all from Baby Girl Lacquer. Baby Girl Lacquer is a 5-free, cruelty-free, indie nail polish maker. This indie also makes skin care products, such as whipped body butter, cuticle oil, etc.

Today’s swatches are for the “In Loving Memory of Prince” Musically Inspired Duo Series. I looove Prince’s music, and it was very saddening to hear of his passing in 2016, so I am very excited for this duo inspired by one of the greatest legends! Let’s get into the swatches & reviews!

Delirious (Dahlia 2.0)!

Application: Smooth formula, not streaky, easy to use brush.

Opacity: 3 coats.

Overall thoughts: I really like this polish; I love the color shade and all of the glitters. I literally could not stop looking at it sometimes and decided to wear it for the rest of the week.

My rating: 4/5

When Doves Cry

Description: A soft lavender crelly with different sizes & colors of glitters.

Application: Smooth formula, not streaky, easy to use brush.

Opacity: 4 coats.

Overall thoughts: This polish is a little more on the sheer side; however, I do think the color is really unique, and of course I love all of the glitters in it.

My rating: 3/5

Hey lovelies! Happy Sunday! How are y’all doing? I am exhausted! I’ve been working long hours every day until classes start back, so this week has just really been tiring. Luckily, I have some new pretties to play with recently, and we’re going to talk about one of them today!

I ordered After Midnight, which is a limited edition polish recently released by Glisten & Glow. I fell in love with it when I saw swatches on Instagram, so I just had to have it! This is the first polish I’ve tried from Glisten & Glow besides their top coat. Glisten & Glow also makes nail care products, such as my fave cuticle oil. Let’s get right into the swatches and reviews!

*The following swatches are applied over ÜNT Ready for Takeoff and topped with Glisten & Glow Top Coat.
