Super Matte Top Coat from BeautyBigBang – Review

*Press Sample*

Hey lovelies! I just reviewed a cotton claw by BeautyBigBang a few minutes ago (check it out here), and now it is time to review a matte top coat from BeautyBigBang. Use my code LALA010 for 10% off your order!

Now, I did not wear the following mani for longer than 2 hours, so I cannot speak on how long this matte top coat lasts. Therefore, I’m not going to give this product a “My rating” since wear-time is a part of that rating. I just haven’t gotten into wearing matte manis, so if you guys want to know how long a mani lasts with this matte top coat, let me know in the comments below. Other than that, let’s get into the swatch and review!

*The following swatches are applied over ÜNT Ready for Takeoff and topped with Glisten & Glow Top Coat BEFORE applying the matte top coat. Chocolate Praline Layered Cake was used as the base color.

Super Matte Top Coat (SKU: 66330)

Description: Use this matte top coat to turn any nail polish color to a dull flat matte finish.

Application: Smooth application, not streaky, & easy to use brush. No white specs were left behind (that’s a spec of glitter on my index nail; it wasn’t from the matte top coat).

Availability: Available now.

Drying time: 1-2 minutes.

Price: $3.59 USD

Overall thoughts: This matte top coat gives a really nice finish, and I will definitely use it for future swatches. If you’re a matte lover, I highly recommend this matte top coat.

That is all for today lovelies! Be sure to check out BeautyBigBang’s store and social media, which are linked below:

Frankenstein Nails + Mace Polish Review + Instagram Giveaway

Hey lovelies! Are you ready for Halloween? Well, today I have my final Halloween nail art for y’all. You can view the previous two here & here.

About a week or so ago, I ordered 4 of the 6 nail polishes from the Candied Collection by Mace Polish. Mace Polish is a 5-free, cruelty free indie nail polish maker. I ordered Candied Apple, Candied Cranberry, Candied Pumpkin, & Candied Plum.  Today, I will be reviewing Candied Apple.

*The following swatches are applied over Ah ha! Nail Lacquer Base Coat and topped with Glisten & Glow Top Coat.

*My rating is a 5 point scale based on whether a nail polish has a good formula (2 points), is opaque in 3 coats (1 point), is opaque in 2 coats (1 point), and is pretty in my opinion (1 point).

This mani was really easy to create. I just used a detail brush from BeautyBigBang to paint on the black stitches. So let’s get into the review!

Candied Apple by Mace Polish

Description: A beautiful green with a blend of silver holographic glitter, matte black glitter, and iridescent glitter.

Application: Smooth formula, not streaky, easy to use brush.

Opacity: Swatch shown in 2 coats.

Availability: Available now.

Price: $9.00 USD

Overall thoughts: I really like this polish! I usually don’t wear green polishes on their own because I just don’t like how they look with my skin tone, but this green complements my skin tone very well! And it is packed with so many glitters; I just love it.

My rating: 5/5

Nail Social Nail Brand Review + Bloody Mani

*Press Sample*

Hey lovelies! Today, I have some Halloween nail art & a Nail Social Nail Brand (NSNB) review!

NSNB is a 5-free, cruelty free, indie nail polish maker based in Detroit. I’ve swatched for NSNB in the past, but that was before I had a blog.

Tasia at NSNB was kind enough to sponsor my upcoming giveaway (keep an eye out!) and send some polishes for me to swatch. The shades NSNB makes complement any skin tone, so I’m really excited to swatch these polishes! Let’s get started!

*The following swatches are applied over ÜNT Ready for Takeoff and topped with Glisten & Glow Top Coat.

*My rating is a 5 point scale based on whether a nail polish has a good formula (2 points), is opaque in 3 coats (1 point), is opaque in 2 coats (1 point), and is pretty in my opinion (1 point).

Cuban Smoke

Description: This charcoal gray/black metallic polish has speckles all throughout.

Application: A little streaky, but the brush was easy to use.

Opacity: Swatch shown in 2 coats.

Availability: Available now.

Price: $7.00 USD

Overall thoughts: I think this is a very nice color for the fall and to use as a base for nail art! This polish will be available in my giveaway!

My rating: 4/5

All This Winnin’

Description: A purple duochrome with a gold effect that sparkles in the light.

Application: Smooth application. No streakiness. Easy to use brush.

Opacity: Swatch shown in 4 coats.

Availability: Available now.

Price: $8.00 USD

Overall thoughts: Love this color. I love the gold shimmer it has in certain lighting; it’s really pretty. The only thing I’m not a big fan of is that it took 4 coats to get to the swatch shown, so I recommend using the sponge technique in order to reach full opacity. If you prefer a more sheer look, then there’s no need to sponge 😊 This polish will also be available in my giveaway!

My rating: 3/5

HBIC – HEAD BOSS IN CHARGE

Description: A metallic red that is hot and exciting for the fall.

Application: Smooth application.. No streakiness. Easy to use brush.

Opacity: Swatch shown in 2 coats.

Availability: Available now.

Price: $8.00 USD

Overall thoughts: I’m in looooove. Not only is this polish great for fall, it’ll be great for Christmas! Call me Mrs. Claus! LOL. This two-coater red is stunning and I can see myself using it a lot.

My rating: 5/5

Bloody nail art

Nail polishes used:

That is all for today lovelies! I do want to note that when I say a polish will be available in my giveaway, I mean a brand new bottle; not the bottle swatched. Just wanted to clear up any possible confusion 😊 Be sure to check out NSNB’s store, Instagram, and Facebook page.

Witch’s Brew by Nailed it! Hawaii – Review

Holo again lovelies! Two reviews in one day? Yes, that is right!

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that Nailed it! Hawaii is my favorite indie nail polish maker. Tia also makes liquid latex, sugar scrubs, body lotions and butters, etc. that I use all the time. All of her products are 5-free, vegan, and cruelty free.

I ordered Witch’s Brew from the Hallow’s Eve Trio. Nailed it! Hawaii also created a Supernatural Trio. So there’s a total of 6 new polishes for Halloween! Awesome right?

I absolutely fell in love with Witch’s Brew when I first saw swatches and I knew I had to have it!  So now, let’s get into my swatches and review!

Description: A deep purple with scattered flakies and holo sparkles.

Application: Smooth formula, not streaky, and no problems with the brush.

Opacity: 2 coats

Availability: Available now.

Price: $8.50 USD

Overall thoughts: I’m in love! This is just what I needed for Halloween; it’s dark, mysterious, and holo! I love the flakies in it and I think they complement the polish well. I added a skull charm from BeautyBigBang (review here), and it goes with the polish perfectly. First Halloween nail art of the month: Checked!

My rating: 5/5

That is all for today lovelies! Be sure to check out Nailed it! Hawaii’s Etsy store and Instagram.
